Truly authentic Mexican food. This place was recommended by the staff at our hotel, and it was the best meal we had all trip. Delicious tacos for ~$1?? Amazing.

It's the only reason why I didn't want to leave Mexico! The pastor is out of this world! Try to get there before 5pm or else your waiting for about a half hour.... but the wait is worth it! I'd give it 5 more stars if I could!

Great place to eat native Mexican food! The best prices, good location, several options of food! A must when you come to Playa del Carmen! No air conditioner, but the place is very fresh!

This was it best food we had during our ten days on the Mayan Riviera. Parking is challenging but we lucked out and found a parking spot less than 50 feet from the door. The service was good. Definitely worth finding.

It was just Okay.. If they ask you if you want cheese on your fajitas SAY NO! Never seen cheese that looks and tastes like rubber!

Very busy place, when we arrived there was a couple groups and a few couples waiting before us to be seated and still it only took a couple minutes. The food here is authentic, reasonably priced and delicious. Definitely worth the short walk from city center.

Fogon will be your new favorite GO TO SPOT. the food is great and cheap. The Pastor is awesome and you will not find a better quesadilla.Try the Arrechera especial ......

Though this is the most hyped taco place in town, it’s not my favourite. It’s very good - I went three times - but there are several reasons why I think Don Sirloin is better. Sure, my opinion is crazy. But both are cheap and delicious so you can taste for yourself.

Fantastic food... do not miss it!

This is a hotspot mingle between locals and tourists and everyone is leaving satisfied! A pretty chilled place and always packed. Reason being, food portion and quality compared to price is very good. A great find of the beaten track and worth a visit if you want something authentic I reckon. Lots of meat based dishes.

Excellent place. Very professional staff who attends to customer and is very covid19 conscious. Been there twice and will go back when in the area. Very reasonable pricing as well. No flies either :).

I really liked this place and ate there 3 different times. You know it's good when there's a line every evening, but there's a lot of seating, service is fast, so turnover is pretty quick. Never waited more than 15 minutes. They have a larger menu than Don Sirloin, but their specialty is the steak or pork rotisserie tacos. I had one meal of their pork chops which was very good as well. Prices are very reasonable: expect to pay around $8 for a couple of tacos and a couple of beers. Pork chops were around $10. All this includes tax and additional tips. Service is quick because they have a lot of waitstaff and bus staff. Recommended.

We went to El Fogon as an quick detour on our trip to Playa de Carmen. Was absolutely worth the ten minute detour. Excellent service - friendly and the waiter took time to explain the menu. Amazing food - the Sirlon taco was my favorite but everything was exceptional. Authentic and tasty. Highly recommend as a must for anyone visiting Cancun.

The meat at this place are delicious. I had the arrachera steak that came with 6 little tortillas that you can make your own tacos. They give you lots of condiments. The meat was very tender.

Fast paced tacos with vegetarian options to make-your-own. Of course, get a a side order of guacamole. Try sit outside because it gets super hot inside. Waiters come fast, serve fast. Some reviews advise that you're forced to tip, we didn't experience this. It's got a local feel and if you're wanting a Mexican experience - come here.

Service was mediocre. Food was good but overall I liked the experience of the El Fogon down the street better. This one was a lot more touristy

Amazing food.. probably the best I’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere of this place was electric and the live music in addition to the large margaritas definitely made me want to get up and dance.

Absolutely love this place. The food is very inexpensive and the tacos were incredible. Two different people we talked to said we had to go and we are so glad we did. It’s a very short walk from the Hilton and we didn’t wait either of the times we have been during the day. They have a really great spicy red salsa too. Alejandro is the best waiter!

Honestly, probably one of the best sirloin tacos that I've ever had. Expect a wait for a table! We had to wait for about 40 min to get one, but man was it worth it! The taste is incredible, and the prices are nothing to any person carrying dollars. 5/5 highly recommended!

Loved it again. Like we do every time we are here. We try a lot of places but We still end up eating there at least a few times during our stay. Very tasty, and very economical ($20 cdn will fill two of you up!)

Reasonable prices. Staff are not as friendly as they should be. The food is ok but not enough to come back. Be careful with the hot salsas they are very very spicy.

What can I say... simply the best taqueria I have ever eaten at. This isn't just a taco place, it really is specialized. The service is fast and polite, the food to die for and the best for last....you leave after a couple beers and only US$ 10-12 lighter the pocket!!!

Food and service was okay. Felt a little rushed. Orders don’t come out at once. Served in a bunch of different plates. We were at a table of 2 and had like 10 plates laid out in front of us.Very very busy!

Best tacos al pastor I’ve ever had in my life. We visited here in the height of tourist season, during the peak snacking hours and never had to wait for a table. We visited two locations, at least once a day for 5 days and never waited once for service. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. I didn’t find any of the salsas or sauces to be very hot, as with most places in Playa. Good flavor but not hot!

Unreal! Such good Tacos. You can get monster, duper delicious tacos for $5. Beer is cheap as well. $10 can turn into the ultimate taco pig out.They are so tasty as well. Best Tacos I have ever eaten! Do be careful of the red sauce. I think they make it that spicy just to laugh at the tourists. It's HOT!

Good food but a bit pricey for what you're getting. They did a good job of keeping up with the large demand as was very busy when we were there. I had the vegetarian dish and it was quite good. Waiter was friendly. The hot sauces were very hot!! One of the Highlights.
